After the Packers traded for Micah Parsons, many analysts viewed them as a Super Bowl favorite in the NFC. However, injuries and ineffectiveness down the stretch led to an early playoff exit, as Green Bay blew a large lead to the Chicago Bears in the wild-card round.
As a result, the Packers have been looking to deepen their roster to break through in the playoffs for the first time with Jordan Love at quarterback. Parsons cost Green Bay its first-round picks in 2026 and 2027, limiting the team’s options near the top of the draft. Still, the Packers walked away from this year’s event with some key defenders.
The Sporting News tracked the Packers’ selections in the 2026 NFL Draft. Here’s who Green Bay selected.

Green Bay Packers draft needs
- Cornerback: The biggest weakness on the Packers current roster is cornerback. Entering the draft, Green Bay’s returns its starters with on the outside are Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine, and Javon Bullard in the slot, but the unit lacks depth beyond those three. With Jonathan Gannon as the team’s new defensive coordinator, the Packers should look to upgrade the cornerback to create a more well-rounded group.
- Offensive line: Green Bay has a solid starting offensive line, but the team lost Rasheed Walker in free agency to take a hit out of their depth. That means Jordan Morgan is set to take over as the left tackle full-time after starting 12 games last year, but Morgan’s backup is currently 2025 UDFA Brant Banks. A versatile offensive lineman would go a long way for the Packers to as insurance in case Morgan struggles.
- Edge rusher: The Packers traded their first round pick in the fall for Micah Parsons, which the team surely doesn’t regret. However, Parsons is recovering from a torn ACL, while Green Bay lost Kingsley Enagbare in free agency and traded Rashan Gary in the offseason. Therefore, the Packers need depth here to fill in the gaps, especially in case PArson’s recovery slows down.
