The announcement came through the agency’s press service on its Telegram channel, where officials explained that the cooperation would allow faster detection of violations and immediate removal of offending content.
“We have begun collaborating with the YouTube platform to respond more quickly and block illegal gambling advertising,” the agency stated on its official Telegram channel.
By linking its monitoring system with YouTube’s tools, the regulator expects to cut down the time between identifying a violation and taking it down.
Channels are already being blocked
PlayCity says the cooperation with YouTube is already producing results. The agency confirmed that one channel with more than 3,000 subscribers was taken down after posting gambling ads, and another video promoting an illegal casino was removed from a channel with over 133,000 subscribers.

Officials explained that the goal is to tighten control over gambling‑related content and shorten the time it takes to respond to violations. Alongside the removals, PlayCity continues to apply other enforcement measures, including fines for breaches of advertising law.
This comes as Ukraine moves its gambling licensing system fully online. The Ministry of Digital Transformation, working with PlayCity, has shifted all licensing procedures to the Diia platform.
Companies can now register through their personal account, fill out forms electronically, and sign with a qualified digital signature. The system pulls company data directly from state registers, allowing PlayCity to issue licenses in minutes.
Licenses available through the portal include land‑based casinos, betting, slot halls, online poker, and B2B gambling services.
