“Following Saturday night’s game, Corey Jensen was sent for scans which have revealed a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lungs),” the club said in a statement on Monday afternoon.
“Jensen remains in hospital and the recovery time is unclear, but he is expected to miss several weeks.”
It’s a particularly worrying development for Jensen, 32, who was also ruled out for multiple weeks during the 2025 NRL season after developing a blood clot, or DVT, in his leg.

Jensen joins an alarming list of Broncos on the sidelines that has grown even bigger after Round 7 to now include Payne Haas (Grade 3 MCL), Kotoni Staggs (plantar fascia strain) and Jesse Arthars (interosseous membrane tear).
Haas is expected to miss 6-8 weeks of action while the club says both Staggs and Arthars are working with Broncos medical staff to determine timelines for their return to the field.
